Eros International & Bhansali Productions presents 'Ramleela' a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film featuring Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone. The film is produced by Kishore Lulla & Sanjay Leela Bhansali & is all set to release in theaters on 15th November, 2013.
The first look poster of Ram Leela is out in stores, featuring the lead actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Here's presenting the exclusive theatrical trailer of the most awaited film 'Ramleela' featuring Ranveer Singh & Deepika. 
A shirtless Ranveer with a heart-shaped tattoo on his bulked up arms, and an ethereal Deepika in a voluminous ghagra standing atop a heap of guns -- with the tagline goliyon ki raas leela -- give the impression that it's a story of love in violent times.

Bhansali is back to direction after three years -- his last was Guzaarish in 2010 -- and he is dabbling in a love story for the first time after the debacle of Ranbir Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor starrer Saawariya in 2007. So obviously, there is a lot riding on Ramleela, especially since he has included his mother's name (Leela) in this one.

The brand new poster of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has a sense of déjà vu attached to its vivid imagery – for some reason it reminded us of the popular RK Films logo! This time though the passion that the lead pair shares is steaming hot!


Ramleela is an upcoming 2013 Hindi romantic-drama film directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as the eponymous leads. The film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's epic love story Romeo and Juliet, set in violent times.The film will be released on 15th November, 2013.

Casting

After several attempts by Bhansali to work with Kareena Kapoor had failed, she was initially signed on for Ramleela. However she walked out of the film citing date and monetary issues.Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra was cast as a replacement, however she was also replaced due to unknown reasons.Deepika Padukone was finally signed on for the film in August 2012, as confirmed by Ranveer Singh.Singh, who is playing a Gujarati boy, had to learn some Gujarati abuses as well as gain muscle for his character in the film. The first look of the film shows Padukone sporting a 30 kg ghaghra with a 50 metre 'ghera'. Richa Chadda of Gangs of Wasseypur fame is also signed on to play a significant role in the film,whereas Shweta Salve plays a supporting role opposite Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh (of Gulaal fame).Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who previously worked with Bhansali in Black, was hired initially for the costumes of the leading lady, but was later replaced by Anju Modi.Maxima Basu is the costume designer for Ranveer Singh and rest of the principal cast. Maxima Basu has previously designed costumes for Peepli [Live]. Priyanka Chopra was confirmed for a special song in the film.
